Idlier's Tech Craze

    I just dumpster dived a new Lenovo IdeaPad laptop (IdeaPad-3-15IML05) yesterday. I wasn't expecting anything from this new find and I proceed to do the usual: Find the suitable power adaptor (Luckily I got one from a previous find of a Lenovo laptop) Try to power up and see if it works.  Try to install Linux Lite 7.6 (Latest version)     During the setup of the BIOS to disable secure boot and TPM, I initially thought this laptop has only 2GB RAM but later I found out it actually has 20GB RAM! Wow, this is the highest RAM laptop that I found. The storage is 512GB. Course:  Innovative Communication Methods (2 Days) Training Center:  FirstCom Academy (Tiong Bahru Branch) Trainer: Daryl Kang Review: Since this is a 2 days course, the contents are more spread out and not so rush to complete. Overall, the trainer has provided quite a lot of AI tools to show their capabilities and the emphasis of using ChatGPT mainly for most daily tasks is enough. Just that the limitation of ChatGPT uploading limits may restrict people who needs to upload documents or pictures. I also tried Google Gemini during the course as I want to try it out. The trainer Daryl also recommends Gemini if ChatGPT limit is reached. We found out Gemini generates images faster compared to Gemini, likely due to user base. As the communication, I feel that it is a good soft skill everyone should take more emphasis on as most lacks of it. Course: Introduction to AI Tools for Content Creation Training Center: FirstCom Academy (Tiong Bahru Branch) Trainer: Qisti Razan Putra Review: Actually I feel that this course is a Marketing/Advertising Course using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to be exact. There is quite a few of topics on Marketing/Advertising and then includes AI tools. Think it is due to the fact that this makes the course easier to access as AI technology progresses too fast and this course may be obsolete if it is purely AI focus. Luckily the trainer understands that the students are more interested in the AI tools so the focus on AI tools was relevant and sufficient for most people who would like to have a first hand feel of what AI and AI can do.  I was walking at Jurong Point when we saw the FirstCom Academy representative introducing us the AI courses.
